There is something about Sunflowers that inspire me. Recently viewing some images of these flowers, I decided the next time I created Monotypes I would create a Sunflower.
This is the first of two Sunflower designs I created by painting on a plate and printing. This process allows me to be looser with my lines. In this particular Monotype, I added some soft pastels to give the flower more vivid colors.
