Meet Fred and Wilma, two mixed breed dogs that are buddies and my most recent commissioned pet portrait. Creating a dog portrait of two fluffy white dogs can be challenging. I always ask for a selection of photos so I can decide on the image that most inspires me. In this case I brought two photos of the dogs together to form one drawing.
Their owner commissioned me to do a dog portrait as well as asked me to assist them with framing the drawing, which I do for commission pet portraits on occasion.
The background color was meant to compliment the room this drawing will hang in. I always ask the owner to make a choice of color that appeals to them that way I am personalizing the drawing even more for their needs.
