Olivia, a Chihuahua mix, is my latest commission pet portrait or pawtrait as I call my drawings. This dog portrait is the third pastel drawing I created for this family. Having done two other drawings for this family, I knew they wanted to keep the same color scheme for the background. I, therefore, used the same color Canson Mi-teintes paper. I found Olivia a very photogenic dog, which made it hard to pick from the grouping of images I was sent. On the other hand, good photos are essential and make my job easier.
Although Olivia looks like she is a mix of Chihuahua and Jack Russell, DNA testing shows she does not have any Jack Russell Terrier in her.
